Bay area startups

So a few weeks back I attended a community called SF New Tech Meetup, which was posted on www.meetup.com. A pretty cool site where you can put together user groups who are interested in similar subjects. This meeting is pretty interesting because you get to hear about pre-funded startups that have some either really cool or extremely bad startups. Most up them are already live without any real funding, but a few are real businesses that are making money and have been around for a few years without VC help.

While many of the companies are not very interesting, if you are around the bay area when the next one pops up you may want to check it out and see what you think. Usually it’s a younger group with massive entrepreneur based ideas, which as you know can be kooky at best.

I just wanted to spread the word. Also I understand that Meetup.com is from a previous eBay employee, so I also want to pass kudos.
