Canonicalization of URLs

Canonicalization of your websites URL’s can be very helpful, more and more these days I am seeing sites without the proper C Names in their DNS records. You should always point your non WWW URL’s to WWW. Ask your hosting company for help with this, it’s a very simple process that can save you head aches down the line. This becomes more and more important when you add any sub domains to your primary domain.

Additionally you can now specify your primary URL within the Google Webmaster Tools. This feature is great if your ISP is too incompetent to help you out with this simple task. If they are you may want to consider switching hosting companies, the competition is fierce and I believe in good service as the #1 part of a good hosting company. I am literally on my last nerve with GoDaddy and about to drop them even though they are so cheap.
